0 Robin van Persie Hate Thierry Henry?

Thierry Henry returned to Arsenal's first team with a bang against Leeds, but since that well taken winner in the FA Cup clash, according to his Spacebook profile Robin Van Persie has quickly laid down the law to his new team-mate while club chairman Peter Hill-Wood has got him putting in extra shifts on the Legends tour of the Emirates Stadium.

Social network spoof site, Spacebook, has a look at the return of the Arsenal legend.

0 Tribute To Steven Gerrard - The Son Of Kop

Steven Gerrard has signed a new contract with Liverpool that should see the Reds skipper remain at Anfield until he retires from playing. It's been a remarkable career ever since he made his Anfield bow as a second half substitute for Veggard Heggem, against Blackburn, on 29 November 1998.

Steven Gerrard will certainly go down as one of the greatest players in Liverpool history, up there with legends like Kenny Dalglish, Ian Callaghan and Billy Liddell.

Collection of brilliant gallery of images from Stevie G's Liverpool love affair in tribute to Liverpool's captain after he signs a new deal that will keep him at Anfield until he retire.

0 2012 Dakar Rally

The Dakar Rally or simply The Dakar,  formerly known as The Paris–Dakar or Paris to Dakar Rally, is an annual rally raid type of off-road automobile race, organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation. Most events since the inception in 1978 were from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal, but due to security threats in Mauritania, which led to the cancellation of the 2008 rally, the 2009 Dakar Rally was run in South America (Argentina and Chile). It was the first time the race took place outside of Europe and Africa. It has stayed in South America from 2009 to the present, 2012. The race is open to amateur and professional entries. Amateurs typically make up about eighty percent of the participants.

Despite its name it is an off-road endurance race, called a rally-raid rather than a conventional rally, the terrain the competitors traverse is much tougher and the vehicles used are true off-road vehicles rather than the modified on-road vehicles used in rallies. Most of the competitive special sections are off-road, crossing dunes, mud, camel grass, rocks and erg among others. The distances of each stage covered vary from short distances up to 800–900 kilometres (500–560 mi) per day.

2012 rally attract more than 500 teams and are currently speeding across the deserts of Argentina, Chile, and Peru, racing more than 8,300 km (5,150 mi) in the 33rd annual Dakar Rally. Competitors pit themselves against the elements, driving specialized off-road cars, trucks, motorcycles, and quadbikes through challenging terrain for two weeks.

One rider, Argentine Jorge Martinez Boero, has already died this year in a crash. The 2012 Dakar Rally began in Mar del Plata, Argentina, on January 1, and racers will reach the finish line in Lima, Peru, on Sunday, January 15, after which I will add a few more photos to complete coverage of this year's competition.

0 Scrum Lady - Women's Rugby League

These women look tough and definitely serious in playing rugby. Don't mess with these ladies...

Women's Rugby League is the female-only version of the game rugby league football. There are currently clubs for female only participation running in Australia, Great Britain and New Zealand which are overseen by the various individual organizations of those separate countries and internationally by the Women's & Girls Rugby League.

0 How Blind People Play Football

Pepsi is funding amazing ideas that refresh the world. Ã…kestam Holst and Society 46 created The Sound of Football to give visually impaired people a better football experience and maybe, in the future, create new aides that enable you to see with sound.

As a first test, we arranged a football match between a team of visually impaired players and a team of former professional footballers. We wanted to see how they would perform under equal conditions – in a match where no one can see. How it works: We used tracking technology, the same used at the latest FIFA World Cup. Through the system we can get the position of each player in real time on the football pitch. This information is then fed into an iPhone located on each player’s head and converted into binaural 3D sound. We created sounds for things important on the pitch like the nearest players, the ball and the goals. Through headphones each player can hear what is happening and get a sense of distance between things. And the sensors in the iPhone allow players to locate where the sounds come from when they move their head.

0 Weird Sports - Lingerie Basketball

The Lingerie Basketball League billed as Where Beauty Meets the Hardwood. Just another weird sport for me.

Dressed in skimpy neon outfits, these are the scantily-clad female players being used to draw more interest to women's basketball. Teams playing in the Lingerie Basketball League have to strip to their bras and panties for the games, which are proving popular with male fans.

Four teams, the Beauties, Divas, Glam and Starlets,  compete each week in the games being played in LA. It look a serious sports as they have their own regulating body to regulate the sport. Here is Lingerie Basketball Official Web
